Facilitated by our own visually impaired Steve and Danielle in collaboration with the RNIB

Our free and informal Zoom based Living Well with Sight Loss course (now in its 15 series) is delivered twice a year, May and November.  It has a good track record     As an ideal way to help you adjust to your sight condition, increase your independence, and grow your confidence.

Nearly 100 people have participated in this course since 2018.

The six-week course includes:

Transport for London Accessibility speaker, low vision advice, understanding welfare rights, sports and leisure, learn about rehabilitation and ECLOs, mental health well-being session and resource centre with everyday gadgets.

Natalie attended one of our first ‘Living Well. With Sight-loss” courses (2018) facilitated by Steve Reed.   Within this space she was able to acknowledge her own limitations and the perceptions of people who may never have experienced someone living with sight-loss.  She admits,“This course has been instrumental in giving me the knowledge and confidence needed to claim what is my right and find out who I am.”  Eye Matter has encouraged me to reach out to support services such as my local ROVI (Rehabilitation Officer for Visual Impairment).”
